Not all safety vests are equal — and choosing the wrong type can mean a vest that’s too hot to wear or not visible enough for the job. Before you order a custom safety vest, it helps to understand the main types, the hi-vis basics and the features that matter on site. Here’s a plain guide.
The 30-second version: mesh vests are cooler for our climate; solid vests carry more branding and pockets. Prioritise genuine hi-vis fabric with reflective tape, and add pockets/zips for the role. Our default MOQ is 200 pieces, though it isn’t strict — smaller runs are often possible depending on stock and decoration.

Hi-vis & reflective basics
Visibility comes from two things: the fluorescent background fabric (lime-yellow and orange are the most visible day and night) and the retro-reflective tape that lights up under headlights. Higher-visibility classes use more fluorescent area and tape — important for night work and near traffic. For genuine worksite safety, choose a true hi-vis vest, not a fashion lookalike.
