Polyethylene (PE) lining is the traditional waterproof inner coating on most paper cups. It creates an effective moisture barrier and is the most cost-effective option for high-volume printing. PE is being phased down globally, but remains the standard where eco-compliance is not a primary requirement. Not compostable or recyclable in most municipal systems.

PLA-Lined Cups (Eco/Compostable)

Polylactic Acid (PLA) is a plant-based, compostable alternative to PE lining — derived from corn starch or sugarcane. PLA-lined cups are industrially compostable, perform well up to ~85°C, and align with Singapore’s NEA sustainability guidelines and the global shift away from petroleum-based plastics. Increasingly requested by eco-conscious cafés and brand campaigns.

Kraft Paper Cups (Natural Aesthetic)

Offset Printing

The industry standard for high-volume paper cup printing. Ink is transferred from plates to a rubber blanket onto the cup fan stock — producing consistent, high-resolution colour reproduction across large batches. Supports CMYK and Pantone (PMS) colour matching for precise brand colour fidelity.

Flexographic Printing

Flexo printing uses flexible relief plates to apply food-safe water-based or soy inks directly to the cup fan. Fast, efficient, and well-suited to shorter runs at 1,000+ pcs. Cup Fan to Cup Process

The paper cup printing process prints on flat “cup fan” sheets before the cup is formed — achieving seamless full-wrap artwork coverage with no print seam visible on the assembled cup. After printing, fans are die-cut and formed into cups, with lining applied. This ensures the cleanest possible print finish.

Our MOQ is 1,000 pieces per design per size. This is the commercial minimum for paper cup printing due to the plate-making and setup costs involved in the flexographic and offset printing process. If you need smaller quantities, we can recommend alternative options such as custom-printed cup sleeves or sticker labels applied to plain cups — which have lower minimums. Contact us to discuss the best approach for your order volume.

Our standard paper cup printing lead time is 30 working days onwards from artwork approval and payment. This accounts for plate-making, print production, cup forming, lining, quality inspection, and delivery. We strongly recommend placing your order at least 6–8 weeks before your required delivery date to allow for proofing, revisions, and any production contingencies. Contact us early — lead times can extend during peak periods.

Single-wall cups have one paper layer — the thinnest and most economical option, best for cold drinks or use with a sleeve for hot beverages. Double-wall cups have two paper layers with an air gap between them, providing natural hand insulation for hot drinks without a sleeve needed — the most popular format for specialty coffee. Ripple-wall cups have a single inner wall plus a corrugated embossed outer layer — providing insulation, grip, and a premium textured exterior that enhances the hand-feel and perceived quality of your beverage service.

Yes on both counts. All cups are food-grade safe for both hot and cold beverages, with food-contact certified PE or PLA inner lining. For eco-conscious brands, we offer PLA-lined cups — made with plant-based, industrially compostable lining material — paired with FSC-certified paper and natural kraft exteriors. PLA-lined cups tolerate temperatures up to approximately 85°C, making them suitable for all standard hot beverages. Our water-based printing inks are odour-free, taste-neutral, and fully SFA-compliant.

For best results, submit print-ready vector files in AI or PDF format with all fonts outlined and images embedded. Artwork should be in CMYK colour mode (not RGB), with a minimum 3mm bleed on all edges. We provide a cup fan template for each size — design your artwork within the specified print zone. If you only have an RGB logo, our team can assist with conversion and artwork setup. Please provide Pantone (PMS) codes if colour accuracy is critical for your brand standards.

Yes — we supply matching lids (flat, dome, and sippy-hole lids in PP, PET, and PLA compostable), custom-printed cup sleeves, and branded 2-cup and 4-cup kraft carriers as part of the same order. Specifying your full requirements at enquiry stage allows us to quote the complete branded cup package in one go. Yes — you can order multiple sizes (e.g., 8oz hot cups and 16oz cold cups) within the same production run. Each size requires its own MOQ of 1,000 pieces, as each size uses a different cup fan die. If the same artwork is applied across all sizes, the design layout is adapted to fit each cup fan template. This is common for cafés that serve both hot and cold beverages and want consistent branding across their full cup range.
