Custom Die-Cut Shaped Pouch in PU Leather with Key Ring

This is a pouch with no fixed outline. Instead of printing artwork onto a rectangle, the PU leather is printed first and then cut to the silhouette of the artwork itself, so the shape of the finished pouch is the shape of your product, mascot or icon. A zip runs down one side, a split key ring sits at the top, and a miniature charm in the same artwork hangs beside it. The reverse is a plain panel in a colour matched to the print.

Not every silhouette survives being cut and stitched, and it is worth knowing that before you fall in love with a shape. Two things decide it. Sharp internal corners need to be opened into a radius, because a blade meeting itself at a point tears the material rather than cutting it cleanly. And thin protrusions — a tail, an antenna, a drinking straw, the handle on a cup — sit outside the stitch line with very little material holding them, so they bend, crease and eventually separate in a pocket. The three samples here all share the same solution: the outline is a single closed blob with the detail delivered by print rather than by shape. We check your artwork against the die before any tooling is cut and tell you which parts need to be absorbed into the body.

The stitch line insets from the cut edge, so the pouch holds less than its outline suggests. This catches people who size the shape by eye from the artwork. The usable cavity is smaller than the silhouette on every side, and on a shape that narrows — a cup tapering to its base, a figure with a head — the narrow end holds almost nothing and functions as decoration. If the pouch has to fit a specific item, send us the item’s dimensions rather than the artwork dimensions and we will scale the outline to suit.

The charm is a second tool, not a free accessory. The miniature hanging off the key ring is its own part with its own mould or cut, so a bespoke charm carries its own tooling charge and lead time. Many buyers assume it comes with the pouch. If budget is tight, a stock charm or a plain metal tag on the same ring keeps the cost down without losing the hook.
