Printed PU Leather Laptop Sleeve with Matching Zip Charm

PU holds a crisper printed edge than neoprene, but it will not stretch to cover a size range. This is the trade-off worth understanding before you choose a material. Neoprene takes dye-sublimation into a soft, slightly spongy surface and has enough give that one sleeve comfortably takes a spread of device sizes — which is why most budget printed sleeves are neoprene. PU is a coated surface: the print sits on it rather than in it, so colour edges and fine type stay sharper, and the panel keeps its shape instead of bulging around the device. The cost is that PU has almost no stretch, so the sleeve has to be cut for the machine. Tell us the laptop model rather than a rough inch figure, because a 14-inch body from one manufacturer is not a 14-inch body from another.

The edge binding takes a few millimetres of your artwork on every side. The outer panels are cut, printed, then bound and stitched around the perimeter, and the binding sits on top of the print. Artwork that runs to the edge is correct and looks right — that is how the samples here are built. What does not survive is a thin border, a keyline or a frame placed near the edge, because the binding will cover part of it and any drift in the stitch line makes the remaining border look uneven down one side. Keep deliberate borders well inside, or let the background bleed off and lose nothing.
