Custom Full Colour Beanie, Edge-to-Edge Sublimation Print

A knitted beanie printed edge to edge in full colour by sublimation, so the design covers the entire hat rather than sitting in a patch on the front. Plain rib knit in 100% polyester yarn with a 7cm roll-up cuff, one size to fit most. We supply and brand the beanie; we do not manufacture it.

Sublimation on knitted yarn comes out softer than your artwork, by design. The supplier states this plainly and so will we: ink is absorbed into the yarn rather than sitting on a flat surface, so the printed result is more subdued than the file you send. A knit is also not a flat substrate, it is thousands of loops with shadow between them, which lowers apparent saturation further. The practical response is to design brighter than you want the result to be, favour large shapes over fine detail, and avoid relying on an exact brand colour match. Photographic and painterly artwork handles this well. A flat corporate logo on a solid background is the hardest case, because any shift is obvious.

Edge to edge is the point, and it changes the design brief. Most branded beanies carry a woven label or a small embroidery above the cuff, which means the hat is a blank object with a badge on it. This one is printed across its entire surface, cuff included, so the artwork is the product. That suits a pattern, an illustration, a team or event identity, or a sponsor design that would look cramped in a 60mm patch. It does not suit a brief that is simply “our logo on a beanie” — for that, a plain beanie with embroidery is cheaper, faster and looks better.

Thirty-five working days by air for a fresh indent, or 7 days express on local stock designs. A full custom run is an indent item, not stock being decorated, and thirty-five working days is roughly seven calendar weeks before shipping. If your date is tighter than that, ask us about 7 days express, which runs off designs we already hold locally. If the beanies are for a specific date — a launch, a tour, a winter campaign, a conference — count backwards from that date and add a buffer for artwork approval, because the clock starts at approval and not at enquiry. Anything inside two months is not realistic.

Who actually buys beanies in Singapore. Worth naming, because the local use case is narrow and specific. Nobody is wearing this at lunchtime on Orchard Road. The orders that make sense are travel and ski-trip merchandise for corporate retreats, winter-market and overseas-event stock, apparel brands and artists selling to a cooler-climate audience, companies with teams or customers in North Asia, Europe or Australasia, and cold-chain or chiller-facility workwear. If the audience is entirely Singapore-based and office-bound, a cap from our custom caps range will be worn and this will not.
