The four pegs are the feature, and they are the reason this works in Singapore. Almost every picnic mat on the market is a sheet of coated fabric. This one ships with four 170mm iron pegs and corner anchor points, which matters on an island where an afternoon breeze off the water is constant and where most open ground is either East Coast Park, the Gardens or a condo lawn. An unpegged mat lifts at the corners the moment anyone stands up. If your event is on grass, the pegs are the difference between a usable mat and one that someone has to weigh down with their bag. On hard standing or decking they are useless, so check the surface before you promise them to a client.

Brand the pouch, not the blanket, unless the blanket is the point. Both areas are available at the same price. The blanket takes a 90mm circle, which sounds generous until you remember it sits on a 1.5 metre sheet that is usually covered in people, food and bags within a minute of being unrolled. The pouch takes 60 x 120mm and is what the recipient carries to and from the park, stores in a cupboard and sees every time they take it out. For brand exposure the pouch does more work. Print the blanket only if the mat itself is going to be photographed, as at a sponsored event or a family day where the ground sheet appears in the pictures.

Water-resistant is not waterproof, and the difference shows up fast. The fabric sheds a spilled drink and handles damp grass, which is what the specification means. It is not a sealed groundsheet: sit it on genuinely wet ground for an hour and moisture will come through. For a morning picnic on dew-damp grass it is fine. For a beach day after rain, or for anything where the mat is the only barrier against standing water, set expectations accordingly or pair it with a tarp.

Shipping weight is the planning number. A carton holds 50 at 13kg, so a 500-piece order is ten cartons and 130kg — manageable, but it is a pallet delivery rather than something a receptionist signs for. The blanket also folds into its own pouch, which means no additional packaging is needed if you are distributing by hand.
