Custom Glass Carafe 1.5L in Smoked Borosilicate, Gift Boxed

Imitation etch beats pad print on tinted glass, and it is the same price. This is the decision worth making deliberately. Both decoration methods cost the same per unit and use the same 40 x 50mm area, but they behave very differently on a dark smoked body. A pad print sits on the surface as opaque ink: it reads strongly, which suits a bold logo in white or a brand colour, but it is a printed mark on glassware and looks like one. Imitation etch mimics sandblasting, producing a soft frosted mark that appears to be part of the glass. On a premium tabletop piece the etch almost always looks more expensive, and on a dark tint the frosted effect has far more contrast than it would on clear glass. Ask for both on the artwork proof.

Not dishwasher safe is a real constraint for a corporate gift, not boilerplate. Borosilicate handles heat well, but this carafe is hand wash recommended, and the decoration is the reason: repeated dishwasher cycles will dull a pad print and eventually lift it. A recipient who puts it through the machine weekly will have a faded logo within months, which is worse than no logo. If the gift is going to a household or an office pantry where everything goes in the dishwasher, say so on the insert card. If the recipients are the kind who hand wash glassware, this is a piece they will keep on the counter.

It is sold by the carton of six, and the carton is the real planning unit. Glass ships in sixes at 4.5kg per carton, which matters more than it does on a soft-goods item. Two hundred units is thirty-four cartons and about 153kg, and every handover between a warehouse, a courier and a reception desk is a chance to break one. Order a small buffer above headcount rather than exactly to the list, keep the gift boxes sealed until distribution, and if the carafes are being couriered individually to home addresses rather than delivered in bulk, budget for the packaging and the occasional replacement.
