Scarf printing on polyester behaves differently from printing on silk. Dye sublimation bonds into polyester fibre, which is why the colour sits inside the cloth instead of on top of it: the scarf keeps its drape, prints the same on both faces, and will not crack or stiffen at the fold. Silk takes a softer, more muted result and costs considerably more. If you want a deep, saturated, edge-to-edge artwork that survives being folded into a gift box for six months, polyester is the correct substrate, not a compromise.

At 1770 x 850mm you are printing a poster, so treat the artwork that way. This is a large canvas and most briefs underuse it. A border treatment, an all-over repeat, a map, a heritage motif or a pattern built from brand assets all read far better than a centred logo on a plain ground, which looks sparse at this size. Remember the scarf is almost always seen folded, draped or tied — so design for the parts that stay visible at the shoulder and the hanging ends, and keep anything critical away from the centre, which disappears around the neck.

Semi-sheer is a deliberate property, not a shortcoming. At 90gsm the cloth is light enough to wear indoors in Singapore and light enough to layer over a uniform without bulk, and the slight transparency is what gives the print its depth when the scarf is gathered. It does mean this is an accessory rather than a warmth layer.
