Dri-Fit Shirt Printing Singapore: How Moisture-Wicking Works & What to Look For
In Singapore’s humidity, a cotton tee turns into a damp flag within minutes — which is exactly why dri-fit has become the default for active and outdoor wear. But how does it actually keep you dry, and does it print the same as cotton? Before you order dri-fit shirt printing, here’s how moisture-wicking works and what to look for.
The 30-second version: dri-fit polyester pulls sweat to the surface where it evaporates fast, keeping the wearer dry. It prints best via sublimation or heat transfer — silkscreen works too with the right ink. Our default MOQ is 200 pieces, though it isn’t strict — smaller runs are often possible depending on stock and decoration.
How moisture-wicking works
Dri-fit (a microfibre polyester) doesn’t absorb sweat like cotton — instead it wicks moisture along the fibres to the fabric’s surface, where the large surface area lets it evaporate quickly. The result: sweat moves away from the skin and the shirt feels dry faster. That’s why it’s the choice for sport, outdoor events and anyone working up a sweat in our climate.
| Property | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Moisture-wicking | Keeps the wearer dry & comfortable |
| Lightweight | Cool and unrestrictive for movement |
| Quick-dry | Dries fast after washing or sweating |
| Colour-fast | Holds bright colours well |
Printing on dri-fit
Polyester loves sublimation (the ink becomes part of the fabric, so there’s no hand-feel and it won’t crack) and heat-transfer/DTF. Silkscreen also works with polyester-appropriate inks. Sublimation is ideal for all-over and full-colour sports designs. For the full method comparison, see our t-shirt printing methods guide.

What is the minimum order quantity?
Our default MOQ is 200 pieces, but it isn’t strict — smaller runs are often possible depending on stock and decoration.
